How do we go through life? How do we vanquish the obstacles ahead of us? How do we treat the matters people asked? Human has sense and heart, to figure out the way to solve certain problems. Human is created to be a leader on the earth. Human is destined to be the commander of their own lives. Human is qualified to be a courageous, critical, and virtuous creature. However, a world without an entity on its peak is dreadful. They need a person to control, so there won’t be any “bloodshed” on the floor.
Together is better than alone nevertheless. They arrange their goal as a group. They discuss on how to get the missions possible to grip. They sacrifice everything just for the sake of mankind. But, they need a basic life principle supporting and keeping them from the evil’s whisper. Just like how human has a problem solving ability, a group has to pull the same card. It helps them to go through life, to vanquish the obstacles ahead them, and to treat the matters people asked.
Today is June 1st of 2022, a remarkable day for Indonesia. Today, Pancasila is founded. The birth of the famous principle is celebrated in all over the country. Pancasila is consisting of 5 principiums;
(1) Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa, (2) Kemanusiaan yang Adil dan Beradab, (3) Persatuan Indonesia), (4) Kerakyatan yang Dipimpin dalam Hikmat Kebijaksanaan dalam Permusyawaratan Perwakilan, (5) Keadilan Sosial bagi Seluruh Rakyat Indonesia.
It is the nation’s first and last formula. Its history is taught in every educational bureau, its value is put into practice by every Indonesian, and each of its sentences is memorized by people’s heart. It is one of the biggest milestones Indonesia ever had during the colonialism. How great it will going to be if everyone valued each sentences by manifesting Pancasila not only orally but also physically? That’s the most important essence of Pancasila creation, the true intention of the Founding Fathers.
The Founding Fathers of the nation formulated the basis of the state through a long process. The process of formulating Pancasila began with the establishment of an investigating committee named Badan Penyelidik Usaha Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia (BPUPKI) on April 29th of 1945, which also known as Dokuritsu Junbi Cosakai, the Japanese name of BPUPKI.
During the time, BPUPKI held 2 meetings. The first one resulted the formulation of Pancasila, and the second one resulted the formulation of Indonesia’s constitution. The Pancasila is subtitutes from 5 different ideas of 3 Founding Fathers, they are Ir. Soekarno, Dr. Soepomo, and Mohammad Yamin. Since every idea is imperfect, they formed an open humanity based principle which not favored into certain groups.
Indonesia is formed by diversity. It’s wonderful how a broad diversity is linked to the same goal. Just like how each of Pancasila’s sentences are related to each other, pictured the portrait of how human is a social being. Always need God’s help, equality among mankind, unity among diversity, an austere jurisdiction, and overall fair treatment to every human being.
The history of the birth of Pancasila and the value of its each principiums is very important to remember and to interpret as the basis of the state and as a basis for behavior in social life. They shall understand and carry it with devotion. Devoting their minds and forces for the sake of their identity, so they won’t lose everything they have.
